Job Open for Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist

Spanish speaking is a plus.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to---
- In charge of Wellmed patient requirements, documents, communications
- Phlebotomy, urine collection, preparing labs to be transported by Quest
- Wound Care/HBOT assisting
- Point of care testing - EKG, Spirometry, ABI, BrainCheck, flu/strep tests
- Chart documentation - eClinicalworks
- Rooming, obtaining vital signs, taking history, discharging patients
- Giving IM/SC injections
- Medication refills and reconciliation
- Allergy testing
- Ear lavage
- Nebulizer treatments
- Assist provider with minor skin surgeries
- Assist provider with wound care
- Autoclaving and management
- Prior Authorizations
- Referrals
- Answer calls and calling patients
- Scanning and uploading files into the charts
- Front Desk - check in, collections, scheduling, managing charts.
There may be other MA duties not listed above.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance, licensed vocational nurse, or emergency medical technician program is required.

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Must be dependable with attendance and able to multitask.
