A proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Marlene earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, graduating Cum Laude. During her undergraduate studies, she also pursued certification as a personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, which further fueled her passion for fitness and wellness.
In 2020, Marlene completed a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and initially focused on women’s health. However, a growing interest in primary care led her to transition to an internal medicine practice where she delivered comprehensive patient care including the management of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, sleep apnea and other chronic conditions. Her passion lies in helping patients achieve weight loss and adopt healthy lifestyles to enhance overall health.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Marlene is committed to providing accessible, high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
She holds a certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed by the Texas Medical Board. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA).
In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, hiking, being outdoors and baking. She also dedicated her time to volunteering at her local church in her hometown, participating in the worship team and teaching pre-K and Kinder at VBS every year. Recently relocated to Fort Worth, Marlene is enthusiastic about serving and contributing to the health and well-being of the Fort Worth community.
